Man Sentenced To 28 Years For 4 Drug-Induced Homicides

ELGIN , IL — An Elgin man will spend 28 years in prison for selling fentanyl-laced cocaine that prosecutors said led to the deaths of four people in McHenry, Kane and Cook counties.
Jarrail Ford-Gresham, 36, pleaded guilty to four drug-induced homicide charges stemming from the deaths, according to Lake and McHenry County Scanner. Two victims — a 45-year-old woman and 48-year-old man —were found dead in a Marengo apartment on Dec. 1, 2023, after ingesting fentanyl, while two others died after receiving fentanyl-laced cocaine in Elgin and Palatine.
Ford-Gresham received two consecutive seven-year sentences in McHenry County and a 14-year sentence in Kane County, also to be served consecutively. He will serve 18 months of mandatory supervised release after completing his prison sentence, according to the article.
