McHenry Co. Target Among 11 Across U.S. Slated to Close

A Target in McHenry will close this February along with 11 other under-performing stores throughout the United State, the Chicago Tribune reports.

The store at 1860 N. Richmond Road is expected to close on Feb. 1, according to the Northwest Herald. The closure will affect 117 employees.

Shuttering of the 95,888-square foot store, which opened in the early 1990s, will leave another vacancy along Route 31, the Northwest Herald reports. Wal-Mart and Sears also closed in recent years along the main thoroughfare in McHenry.
