McHenry County Board Seeking Applications For District 2 Vacancy
The County Board declared the vacancy at its January 19 meeting for the term, which expires December 1, 2022.

WOODSTOCK, Ill. – McHenry County Board Chairman Mike Buehler is seeking applications to fill the vacancy left by former District 2 member Suzanne Ness, who resigned Jan. 8 to represent the 66th House District of the Illinois General Assembly.

The County Board declared the vacancy at its Jan. 19 meeting for the term, which expires Dec. 1, 2022.
Interested applicants can submit a resume and/or short bio to MJBuehler@mchenrycountyil.gov as soon as possible. Applicants must be Democratic, and must live in County Board District 2, which includes Algonquin precincts 2, 5, 7, 10, 11, 13, 15, 19, 20, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 42, 51, 52, 53, 55, 57, 58, 59, 61, 64 and 66; and Grafton precincts 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 10, 13 and 31.

A map of District 2 can be found at the McHenry County Clerk’s Office webpage at www.mchenrycountyclerk.com.
It is Chairman Buehler’s intent to submit a nominee for County Board approval within the 60-day requirement.
