ANTIONE BELFORD SENTENCED TO SEVEN YEARS IN THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS FOR THE OFFENSE OF POSSESSION OF A WEAPON BY A FELON

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Patrick D. Kenneally, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announces that Antione Belford, of Crystal Lake, Illinois, was sentenced to seven years in the Illinois Department of Corrections by Honorable Judge Robert Wilbrandt after pleading guilty to Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, a Class 2 Felony. 

On August 17, 2021, Belford was traffic stopped by members of the McHenry County Sheriff’s Department. Deputies located over half a pound of cannabis and multiple firearms in the vehicle with Belford. Belford was convicted of Burglary in Cook County in 2017.

This case was investigated by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Narcotics Task Force. This case was prosecuted by Brian Miller of the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office.
