JOSHUA KREGER GUILTY OF PREDATORY CRIMINAL SEXUAL ASSAULT AND AGGRAVATED CRIMINAL SEXUAL ABUSE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Patrick D. Kenneally, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announces that Joshua R. Kreger, 35, of Wonder Lake, was convicted of nine counts of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault and two counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse on October 6, 2021, at the conclusion of a three-day jury trial.
From 2016 to 2018, Kreger repeatedly engaged in acts of sexual penetration with a child under the age of 13.
Kreger will be sentenced by the Honorable Judge Michael Coppedge on December 17, 2021.
This case was investigated by Amy Bucci of the Algonquin Police Department and Rich Svejcar of the McCullom Lake Police Department. This case was prosecuted by Assistant State’s Attorneys Brian Miller, Jim Newman and Mary Ann Scholl of the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office.
