KOREM JOHANSON SENTENCED TO 16 YEARS IN THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTION FOR THE OFFENSE OF PREDATORY CRIMINAL SEXUAL ASSAULT OF A CHILD

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Patrick D. Kenneally, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announced that Korem Johanson, 39, of Fox River Grove, Illinois, was sentenced on November 5, 2021 to 16 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections by the Honorable Judge Michael Coppedge after being found guilty of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child at a bench trial. Defendant must serve his sentence at 85% and will be required to register for life under the Sex Offender Registration Act upon release from custody.
This case was investigated by Detective David Mullen of the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office. The case was prosecuted by Sharyl Eisenstein and Mary Ann Scholl of the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office.
