PETER SOVA SENTENCED TO FOUR YEARS IN THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS FOR THE OFFENSE OF RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Patrick D. Kenneally, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announces that on July 28, 2021, Peter Sova, 33, of Lake in the Hills, Illinois, was sentenced to four years in the Illinois Department of Corrections by the Honorable Judge Michael Coppedge after being found guilty at bench trial of Residential Burglary, a Class 1 Felony.
Sova was apprehended by members of the Algonquin Police Department after he entered a home in Algonquin looking for money and was detained by the residents.
This case was investigated by members of the Algonquin Police Department. This case was prosecuted by Tyler Mikan and Kyle Bruett of the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office.
