Patrick D. Kenneally, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announces that 35-year-old Charles N. Hall of Elgin, Illinois, was found guilty of Residential Burglary, a Class 1 felony, following a negotiated plea before the Honorable Judge Wilbrandt on April 2, 2020.
On December 25, 2018, members of the Algonquin Police Department responded to a residential burglary that occurred while the resident was gone. An examination of the scene led to the discovery of DNA evidence. The DNA evidence matched that on file for Charles N. Hall.

The investigation was conducted by the Algonquin Police Department and was prosecuted by Taylor Nesbit of the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office.
