McHenry Teacher Fired, Charged for Taking Photo of Student's Undergarments

Thomas P. Eggert, a social studies teacher at McHenry High School, has been charged with unlawful videotaping and disorderly conduct.

A McHenry Co. teacher has been fired after police said he use his cell phone to take a photo of a student’s undergarments, according to the Northwest Herald.

Thomas P. Eggert, 44, of McHenry has also been charged with misdemeanor unlawful videotaping and disorderly conduct charges for allegations that he took the photo during school hours, according to the article. Students who said they witnessed the act on May 6 turned the McHenry High School social studies teacher into administrators, the Northwest Herald reports.
