Memorial Held at Gym for Man Killed in Crash
Russell Janca died in an accident at Route 14 and Route 31 Sunday night after losing control of the motorcycle he was driving, according to police.
Friends of a 23-year-old Alden man killed in a motorcycle crash are holding an all-day remembrance at a Lake in the Hills gym Friday.
The memorial will be held for Russell Janca from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. at 4 Real Fitness, 9358 Virginia Road, Lake in the Hills.
Vince Romandine, Janca's friend who is helping to organize the event, told Patch those attending the remembrance are encouraged to bring photos and that a huge wall at the gym will be filled "with memories of Russ."

"Russ was an amazing person, so Friday we’re going to make sure we make it an amazing day," Romandine said.
Romandine told Patch they selected 4 Real Fitness as the location for the event because Janca loved the gym and working out.

. The accident occurred at 7:19 p.m.
A visitation will be held for Janca at Colonial Funeral Home & Crematory, 951 Ridgeview Drive, McHenry, from 4 p.m. until the 7:30 memorial service, according to Janca's obituary.
