Miracle On Main Is This Weekend In Algonquin

Activities will include visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, live reindeer, ice-sculpting demonstrations and more.

Miracle on Main will be held this weekend in Algonquin.

The event will run from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday at the The Plaza, 2 South Main St. in Algonquin. Activities will include visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, live reindeer, an ice-sculpting demonstration, community tables with projects, school singers and a tree lighting.

“The Miracle on Main is such a wonderful event that brings the entire Algonquin community together,” said Village President Debby Sosine. “We are excited to hold this year’s event and kick-off the holiday season.”

Main Street between Algonquin Road and Washington Street will be closed to traffic from 3 to 8 p.m. Parking for the event will be available at Towne Park, 100 Jefferson Street; Old Town Municipal parking lot, the corner of Washington Street and Harrison Street; and at the Historic Village Hall, 2 South Main Street.

Guests are encouraged to arrive early and check out the many specials at the local shops and restaurants in Old Town Algonquin, according to village officials.
