More Sex Assault Charges Filed Against Teacher From LITH
The former District 300 substitute elementary education teacher is now accused of sexually abusing eight victims, authorities said.

CARPENTERSVILLE, IL – Four more victims have come forward alleging a former District 300 substitute elementary school teacher sexually abused them, the Daily Herald reports. Carlos A. Bedoya, 62, of the 100 block of Acorn Lane in Lake in the Hills, is now accused of sexually assaulting eight children. Bedoya, who was a substitute kindergarten teacher and a youth soccer coach, was originally arrested in July for allegedly sexually abusing two 6-year-old boys between August 2016 and May 2017, according to the Daily Herald.
Two more children came forward since his arrest and prosecutors added more charges in December 2017 and January alleging he abused two more, according to the article. Last week, additional charges were filed on behalf of two boys under the age of 13 years old who allege Bedoya fondled them.
Bedoya remains in custody on a $3.8 million bail.
