Motorcyclist Killed In Crash Near Marengo
A 29-year-old Belividere man was killed in the collision, which happened Saturday night or early Sunday.
MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — A 29-year-old Belvidere man is dead after his motorcycle collided with a fence near Marengo this past weekend. Authorities believe the 2015 Harley Davidson motorcycle was headed east in the 25000 block of River Road when it failed to go around a curve, went off the road and hit a fence.
The driver of the motorcycle, who was not wearing a helmet, was ejected, authorities said. The McHenry County Sheriff's Office, Marengo Police Department and McHenry County Conservation District Police responded to the collision just before noon on Sunday and the man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a news release from the McHenry County Sheriff's Office.
Police believe the crash occurred at some point on Saturday night or Sunday morning.

Authorities are asking anyone who has information regarding the crash to call the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office at 815–338-2144.
The investigation is ongoing by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Major Crash Investigation Unit
and the McHenry County Coroner‘s Office.
