Nearby Gluten-Free Restaurant to Open This Summer

The restaurant will open in East Dundee.

Green Bean, a new restaurant that will offer food free of GMO, gluten, nuts and high-fructose syrup, is slated to open in August in East Dundee, the Daily Herald reports.

The restaurant will be located at 4 East Main St. in Suite 4

The menu will feature choices of salads and wraps that allow customers to chose a main ingredient--either chicken, steak or mushrooms--and then select a signature flavor. Some of the signature flavor choices include caprese, asian, caesar and more. The full menu can be viewed online.

The restaurant has walk-up or drive-through option for its customers and should be priced similarly to other fast food restaurants, according to the article.

Green Bean managing partner Aaron Bush said the desire to open Green Bean stemmed from a personal need.

“I am a busy, working individual, and I don’t always have time to eat appropriately during my lunch break or when running to my office in the morning,” Bush told the Daily Herald. “I related it to other consumers that might find the need to move quickly and provide healthy alternatives for their families and for themselves.”
