LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL —A new dog obedience school may be coming to Lake in the Hills.

MAH Holdings LLC is requesting village officials approve a conditional use permit, which planning and zoning commissioners will consider at a Monday night meeting. The proposed obedience school would be located in three tenant spaces at 9190 Pyott Road.

The business owner is looking to offer indoor training classes for dogs and their owners, and the training will be oriented toward home protection, according to village documents. Day or overnight care will be offered on a limited basis, but most classes will require homeowners to accompany their dogs during each session.

The business would also have outdoor training space on the one-acre property and parking.

The planning and zoning commission will consider whether to recommend the village board approve a conditional use permit for the business at an upcoming meeting. The planning and zoning commission meeting will begin 7:30 p.m. at village hall, 600 Harvest Gate, Lake in the Hills.
