New Sushi, Hibachi Restaurant Opens in Algonquin
Sapporro Tanoshii will open in the former Famous Dave's on Friday.
ALGONQUIN, IL –A new hibachi and sushi restaurant is will open this weekend in Algonquin. Mike Ham, the executive chef and owner of Sapporo Tanoshii, is bringing his culinary expertise to the new restaurant at 1521 S. Randall Road, according to a news release from the restaurant, which was posted on Patch.com. Sapporo Tanoshii has listed its opening weekend hours, with plans to officially open at 5 p.m. on Friday.
The Japanese hibachi restaurant has 160 seats and includes a sushi bar, hibachi tables, a private dining room, and a full bar with cocktails, beer, wine and sake. The restaurant will have twelve hibachi tables.
The hours for opening weekend at Sapporo Tanoshii are 5 to 10:30 p.m. on Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday and 5 to 10:30 p.m. on Saturday and 1 to 9 p.m. on Sunday.
