A new Lake in the Hills village board trustee has appointed to fill the seat of former trustee Frank Covone. Covone was honored at the June 23 village board meeting for his three years of dedicated service as a Village Trustee. President Paul Mulcahy and the board of trustees appointed Doug Cummings to fill the remaining term from departing Covone. Cummings previously served on the police commission.
