Niko's Lodge Leases Former Barley House Building

It's not even been three months since , and another restaurant already has snapped up the property.

Niko’s Lodge, a Wasco-based restaurant, has leased the 8,824-square-foot space , 1520 S. Randall Road.

Inland Real Estate, the company that owns and manages , announced Wednesday, Sept. 7, that Niko’s Lodge, a wilderness-themed steak and seafood restaurant, will open in late October. This will be the restaurant’s second location.

“One of the many great things about Algonquin Commons is the restaurant variety,” said Scott Carr, president of property management for IRC in a statement. “Niko’s Lodge will provide Algonquin Commons guests with yet another great dining choice.”

Niko Kanakaris, a Huntley villlage trustee and graduate, owns Niko's Lodge in Wasco and multiple restaurants in the area, including the and in Huntley.
