Penny Pancakes at Algonquin Colonial Cafe!

Join the Algonquin Colonial Cafe on Thursday, June 5th
for Penny Pancakes all day with a beverage purchase. This year the Algonquin Colonial Cafe is again partnering with the Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Interfaith Food
Pantry. They are offering to buy your 1st pancake! So stop by their information
table on your way inside.

They will be collecting
non-perishable foods the whole week leading up to the Penny Pancake day and
will also be taking monetary donations all day on Thursday, June 5th
as well. Last year they raised $1,130 and 246 pounds of food donations from the
community members. This helps them in their time of need since they see a
decline in donations during the summer months. The money collected will go to help
purchase food to fill the pantry’s shelves. Each month the pantry serves over
1,000 people which include 400 children and 123 seniors.

Are
you looking to help out your community? The Algonquin-Lake in the Hills

Interfaith Food Pantry also is looking for various volunteers. So come in and

visit the Algonquin Colonial Cafe at 2555 Bunker Hill Road on Thursday, June 5th
and donate some of your savings and learn about a great community

organization.
