Police Investigate Report Of Shots Fired In Lake In The Hills

LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — The Lake in the Hills Police Department is asking for the public's help in tracking down a person accused of firing shots Tuesday evening in the area of Deer Path Road.

Authorities were called to the 0 block of Deer Path Road at about 6:35 p.m. Tuesday for a report of gun shots that were fired in the area, according to a Lake in the Hills Police Department news release. Police say the gun shots were fired onto property in that area but no one was shot.

Following the incident, there will be extra police presence in the area as authorities continue to investigate, according to the news release. Police are asking homeowners and business owners to check their video surveillance systems for any suspicious vehicles and/or people who were in the area of Deer Path Road between 6 and 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
