D.C. Cobbs' Liquor License Reinstated
An attorney for the restaurant met with the McHenry Liquor Control Commissioner Thursday.

MCHENRY, IL — After a weeklong liquor license suspension, D.C. Cobbs in McHenry can serve alcohol again.
An attorney for the restaurant met with the McHenry Liquor Control Commissioner Thursday and agreed to pay the city $5,000 for legal fees, according to a document provided by the city.
City police allege the restaurant served alcohol to a minor in June and sold alcohol past 1 a.m. one night last week. This is in violation of the city code.

One of the owners, Daniel Hart, told the city last week he was no longer acting as an agent for the restaurant. This also violates a city liquor license stipulation that a restaurant representative must live within 10 miles of the city.
The city document shows an attorney for McHenry Cobbs admitted to the after hours violation and the ineligibility violation. The charge of serving alcohol to a minor was dismissed.
