Pottery Barn Closing At Algonquin Commons
Meanwhile, the mall's new owner is planning a $90 million project to transform the mall into an all-in-one entertainment, retail district.

ALGONUIN, IL — Pottery Barn will be closing at the Algonquin Commons but village officials anticipate the space will not stay vacant for long as the mall's new owner plans to break ground soon on a $90 million project that is meant to transform the shopping center into a "all-in-one" entertainment and retail district.
Red Mountain Group acquired the Algonquin Commons out of receivership last year and plans to invest in an indoor-outdoor entertainment area for al fresco dining, movie nights, holiday events and other gatherings, according to the Daily Herald. Construction is expected to start this spring on the project.
It's unclear when Pottery Barn will close, but Jason Shallcross, the village's community development director, anticipates the space will not remain vacant for long, according to the article.
