Resurfacing Gets Underway on LITH Streets, Bike Path
Resurfacing work on area streets and bike paths has started in the village of Lake in the Hills.

LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL – The village of Lake in the Hills has started work to repair area streets that are scheduled for upgrades this summer. In total, 4.7 of the 91 total miles of roadway in the village will be resurfaced. Work has already begun to replace curbs and gutters in the northwest corner of Lake in the Hills, according to a village of Lake in the Hills e-mail newsletter.
A complete list of road sections that will be resurfaced this year can be found here. Road resurfacing work is expected to be done by Aug. 30.
Also this summer, resurfacing will be completed on the bike path on Lakewood Road south of Algonquin Road and the bike path located between Harvest Gate and Heavens Gate. Work started last week on the path and, weather permitting, the project could be completed this week.
