MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — If you're wondering where to the find the most Clark Griswold-approved holiday lights in town, look no further.
Each year, Patch.com editor Lorraine Swanson asks Patch.com readers to share their favorite holiday lights and the responses have again been pouring in this year. She then compiles those suggestions into a weekly update so you all can enjoy driving by some of the best and brightest across the Chicago area.

Santa and Flamingos, 637 Rawson Bridge Road, Cary – Santa is giving his reindeer a break this year in Jennifer Thompson’s delightful display. “Since we live on the Fox River, we thought Santa and flamingos would be fun.”

Lakewood
5840 Highland Lane, Village of Lakewood — Jen and Tom Allen's stunning Currier and Ives display features a life-size nativity, Santa, and his reindeer. Lights twinkle from 4 p.m. to midnight.

Lake In The Hills
2880 Hillsboro Lane, Lake In The Hills – Mark Swiatly has revamped his display with lights and Santa Claus archway.
