School Bus Collides With Car In Lake in the Hills
The collision occurred at Lincoln Street and Monroe Street in Lake in the Hills Friday afternoon.

LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL – A school bus driver was issued a citation after a school bus collided with a car in Lake in the Hills last week, police said. The Lake in the Hills Police Department responded to the crash at Monroe and Lincoln Street at about 4:18 p.m. on Friday.
The collision occurred when the bus, which was traveling west on Lincoln Street, allegedly failed to observe a yield sign at the intersection and hit a Saturn Ion, which was heading north on Monroe Street, Lake in the Hills public information officer Ashley Eccles told Patch.
No one was injured in the collision, according to police.

Authorities would not immediately release information on which school district operated the bus or where the bus was coming from or headed to. A Freedom of Information Act request has been submitted to obtain additional information.
