Skillicorn Formally Enters House Race
Allen Skillicorn Joins the Republican Primary Race for Open-Seat
Speaking to a room full of supporters, Allen Skillicorn formally launched his campaign for State Representative last Thursday evening.
“Months ago Representative Michael Tyron announced he would not seek another term. As one might expect, this has set about an avalanche of candidates chasing the Republican primary nomination. This announcement does not come first, but with everyone’s help here today, this will be the one worth remembering.” Skillicorn continued, “I’m Allen Skillicorn, the conservative reformer and I humbly ask for your vote to shake up Springfield.”

Skillicorn spoke critically of House Speaker Michael Madigan. “Chicago Democrats want more of your money. More money to feed their higher legislative pay and lucrative pension system. More money to sustain their patronage workers… The only way to restore compromise and bi-partisan leadership is restore the two-party system in the Illinois house and senate.”
Skillicorn enters a four-way Republican primary for Representative Mike Tryon’s open-seat, facing off against Paul Serwatka, Caroyn Schofield, and Dan Wilbrandt. The primary election is March 15, 2016.
