Summer Book Sale Comes to Algonquin Library

The Friends of the Algonquin Area Public Library District will hold their Summer Book Sale Thursday, July 7 through Sunday, July 10.

Looking for reasonably priced books, movie and television DVDs, or music CDs? You’ll find the perfect additions to your collections at the Friends of the Algonquin Area Public Library District Summer Sale, July 7 through 10 at the Eastgate Branch Library.

All fiction books are in alphabetical order (by author) and all other categories are organized to make shopping easy. You might find the missing book in your favorite series or pick up several hardcovers to create book art!

The sale schedule is as follows:

• Thursday, July 7 4 to 7 pm ($10 entry fee, this day only)
• Friday, July 8 4 to 8 pm
• Saturday, July 9 10 am to 2 pm
• Sunday, July 10 1 to 4 pm (½ price day)

Light refreshments will be available Friday through Sunday at the Friends of the Library Book Bistro. Visit the raffle basket display and enter to win an attractively packaged themed basket! The drawing will take place on Sunday, July 10.

The Eastgate Branch Library is located at 115 Eastgate Drive in Algonquin (off Algonquin Road/Route 62, behind the 7-11).

The Friends of the Algonquin Area Public Library was founded May 6, 1991. The Friends are a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the Library District by providing materials, services, and educational opportunities that are not funded by the Library budget. The Algonquin Area Public Library District has 23,049 cardholders and serves more than 40,000 residents in a 30-square-mile area including Algonquin and portions of Lake in the Hills, Cary, and Barrington Hills.
