Summer Sunset Festival Kicks Off Friday in Lake in the Hills
The 16th annual Summer Sunset Festival will be held Sept. 2 through Sept. 4 at Sunset Park in Lake in the Hills.

The 16th annual Summer Sunset Festival will kick off this weekend in Lake in the Hills as the village celebrates the end of summer. The festival kicks off on Sept. 2 and continues through Sept. 4. at Sunset Park, which is located at the corner of Miller and Albrecht roads.
The Woods Creek Main Stage will be jamming all weekend and there will be nine bands as well as a Got Talent competition. The carnival will also be active throughout the weekend, offering discounted wristbands for unlimited rides during designated time periods each day.

There will be a Car Show, 5K Run, Parade, FREE Kids Korner, Art Attack Paint and Sip, Bags Tournament, Wine Tasting, and the Sunday night finale is McHenry County's best fireworks show, according to the village of Lake in the Hills press release. Bring a blanket and some lawn chairs, as there is plenty of room just south of the parking area to sit and watch the display.
