Your Guide To Summer Sunset Festival

LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — This year's Summer Sunset Festival will open Friday and continue through the weekend.

The three-day festival will again be held at Sunset Park, 5200, Miller Road, and includes food and drink, a carnival, musical entertainment, and plenty of family-friendly activities. Admission to the festival is free.

A full schedule of events for this year's Sunset Festival can be found below:

Friday, September 2

• 3 p.m.: Festival opens
• 3 to 10 p.m.: Windy City Amusements Carnival
• 3 to 7 p.m.: Windy City Amusements Carnival Unlimited Ride Wristbands
• 3 to 10 p.m.: Food/Beer Tents
• 5 to 9 p.m./: Classic/Custom Car Show (Load-In begins at 4:00 PM)
• 5:30 to 6:15 p.m.: Main Stage: The Early Byrds
• 6 to 10:30 p.m.: Wine Tasting Tent
• 7:30 to 10:30 p.m.: Main Stage: That’s What She Said

Saturday, September 3

• 9:30 a.m.: Festival opens
• 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.: Parade
• 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.: Food/Beer Tents
• 11:30 a.m.: Doggie Derby Dash
• 12 to 10:30 p.m.: Windy City Amusements Carnival
• 12 to 4 p.m.: Windy City Amusements Carnival Unlimited Ride Wristbands
• 1 to 5 p.m.: Rec2U Kids’ Zone
• 4 to 10:30 p.m.: Wine Tasting Tent
• 5 to 9 p.m.: Windy City Amusements Carnival Unlimited Ride Wristbands
