UPDATE: Sunset Festival 5K Rescheduled

The race had to be rescheduled due to inclement weather last weekend.

The below information came from a village of Lake in the Hills press release. 

UPDATED AT 9 A.M. ON SEPT. 4: Due to inclement weather during last weekend's Sunset Festival 5K/two-mile race, the race has been rescheduled for this Friday. 
The race will be held at Sunset Park, 5200 Miller Rd.

The course will be flat and fast with no need to worry about hills. This evening run allows for you to start the weekend off right, according to a village of Lake in the Hills press release. 

Pre-registration is appreciated and can be done through the Lake in the Hills Parks & Recreation Department or online through www.lith.org or on race-day from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. The race begins promptly at 7 p.m.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE: Registration is now open for the Sunset Festival 5K, which will be held at 7 p.m. on Aug. 30 at Sunset Park, 5200 Miller Road in Lake in the Hills.

This 5K (3.1-mile run)/two-mile walk course will be flat and fast. Come for the run/walk and stay for the  entertainment at the Sunset Festival.

Register now at www.lith.org or signmeup.com/91092 or from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. on race day. The fee is $25 by Aug. 26 and $30 on Aug. 27-30.
