Movie Night at Airport returns to Lake in the Hills on Saturday, October 1. After missing last year’s event, the Recreation Division is eager to bring the community together for a classic special event outdoors at the airport, where attendees will have room to socially distance.

Participants will watch Monsters, Inc. To select the movie, the Recreation Division asked guests at their summer Rec2U events to vote for their preferred movie from three options.

“We asked our community members to pick the movie and help us make the 2021 return of Movie Night at the Airport a memorable and fun night for all,” said Recreation Coordinator Casie Peltz. “Over the years, we’ve received positive feedback about Movie Night at the Airport, and we’re excited to bring it back after a year away.”

The Lake in the Hills 3CK Airport is located at 8397 Pyott Road. The gate will open at 6:00 p.m. and the movie will start at dusk. Snacks, drinks, and glow products will be available for purchase.

“Movie Night at the Airport offers an exciting opportunity for community members of all ages to come together and enjoy a fun fall festivity,” said Recreation Superintendent Kim Buscemi.

Tickets cost $3 for Lake in the Hills residents and $4 for non-residents who pre-register. Tickets will cost $5 for Lake in the Hills residents and $6 for non-residents at the gate.

Participants may pre-register online through the Village’s CommunityPass page, by phone at 847-960-7400, or in-person at Village Hall, located at 600 Harvest Gate. Attendees are welcome to purchase tickets at the gate on the day of the event.
