Contest: Deadline for Patch Photo Contest is Tuesday

We will take photo submissions through noon Tuesday, Oct. 11. Submit your favorite fall photo directly to this article for your chance to win. We will post the winner of the photo contest later this week! 

The leaves are changing. Business is booming at area pumpkin patches and apple orchards. Area yards are donning ghosts, goblins, graves and other ghoulish Halloween decorations. 

It's officially fall and we want to see your photos capturing the season.

You can submit an adorable photo of your child playing in the leaves or picking out his or her pumpkin, your family at an apple orchard, a scenic fall foliage photo or even a picture of the decorations that you put up outside or inside your home.

We are looking for fall photos of all kinds to showcase what the community is up to this season.

In coming weeks, when we get more than 10 submissions on our sites, the five McHenry County Patch editors will vote on our favorite submitted photo. The winner will receive a $20 gift certificate to the McHenry County restaurant of their choice. 

RULES

• The photo must be taken in McHenry County or of a McHenry County resident.
• Full-time Patch employees are not eligible. 
• Patch will update this article with an official deadline once we get 10 submissions.
