Where To Sled, Skate In Algonquin

ALGONQUIN, IL — The Algonquin park system has several sledding hills and ice skating rinks available throughout the community.

Sledding hills are available at:

• Braewood Park, 1001 Gaslight Drive)
• High Hill Park, 501 Kirkland Drive)
• Spella Park, 2610 Harnish Drive)

An ice skating rink is available at Snapper's Field, 599 Longwood Drive in Algonquin, weather permitting. There needs to be 5 days of sub freezing daytime temperatures for this rink to be opened, according to village officials.
