2 Dead, 2 Wounded In Blue Island Shooting
A fourth person self-transported after being shot to an area hospital in a shooting that left two dead and two wounded early Sunday.
BLUE ISLAND, IL — Blue Island police are calling a shooting that happened early Sunday morning that left two men dead and two people injured “an isolated incident.”
Around 12:42 a.m., officers went to the area of 121st Place and Irving Avenue in response to a possible shooting. Police found three people with gunshot wounds. A fourth person fled the scene and was later found at an area hospital.
The wounded were taken to area hospital, where two men succumbed to their injuries. The Cook County Medical Examiner identified the deceased as Ishmael Adams, 27, and 29-year-old Darnell Brown, both of Blue Island.

The llinois State Police Crime Scene Services Unit and the South Suburban Major Crimes Task are assisted with crime scene.
"This is an isolated incident and there is not a threat to the community," Chief Geoffrey Farr said in a news release.
