Suspect in Custody After Two Shot at Alsip Towing Business
Alsip police and the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force are investigating an apparent shooting at Ray's Towing and Recovery.

ALSIP, IL — The Alsip Police Department and South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force are investigating a reported shooting inside a towing and recovery business Tuesday afternoon. Two people were shot inside the business. A suspect was taken into custody in Evergreen Park.
Alsip police officers responded to a report of a disturbance at 1:09 p.m. Sept. 19 at Ray’s Towing and Recovery Service at 4030 W. 127th St., just off Pulaski Road. An employee, whom police also consider a battery victim, told arriving offers that two people were shot inside the business and that the suspect fled. Those who were shot are being treated at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. Police said their conditions are unknown.
Oak Lawn police spotted the suspect’s vehicle near 107th Street and Pulaski Road. When they tried to stop the vehicle, the suspect allegedly fled and a brief pursuit ensued. Police said the suspect bailed from the vehicle and fled on foot at 95th Street and Central Park Avenue in Evergreen Park before being arrested.

The suspect remains in custody. Alsip police and the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force are continuing their investigation.
