2 Shot in Apartment Complex Parking Lot In Crestwood
Crestwood police believe the man and woman were targeted by the shooter.
CRESTWOOD, IL -- A man and a woman were shot early Saturday morning they parked their car at a Crestwood apartment complex, police said. Both were transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. The shooting is currently under investigation.
Around 2:02 a.m., Crestwood police went to the 13700 block of Lamon Avenue in response to a gunshot victim. Police found two people -- a 26-year-old man and 27-year-old woman -- with gunshot wounds. Both told police they had just parked their car and were walking to the apartment building when they heard gunshots.
The woman started running and struck in the arm. The man was shot in the stomach and the leg. The shooter is described as wearing a gray hoodie, who fled in a vehicle, make and model unknown.

Crestwood police said the man and woman appeared to have been targeted by the shooter, who remains unidentified. There is no public safety threat to the community.
