Alsip Man Dies of Apparent Drug Overdose: Police
A 33-year-old man dies of what Alsip police are terming "an overdose situation."

ALSIP, IL -- A 33-year-old man died early Tuesday morning of an apparent drug overdose in an Alsip apartment building.
Alsip police were called to the 12800 block of Kenneth Avenue around 12:30 a.m. Ryan Sturmer was pronounced dead. A second man who had also reportedly overdosed survived.
Video taken at the scene showed Alsip paramedics giving CPR to Sturmer on a stretcher. The other man appeared to be talking as he was put into an ambulance.

Results of Sturmer’s autopsy are pending, according to Cook County Medical Examiner records.
Alsip Deputy Chief Jay Miller said via email that it was an overdose situation. Both police and fire personnel utilize Naloxone, a drug effective in reviving overdose victims.
