Alsip Police Look For Driver Who Pointed Gun At School Bus Stop

Alsip police ask residents to check their home security video after a student reported a man in a red car pointing a gun at the bus stop.

ALSIP, IL — Alsip police are asking residents in the area of 123rd Street and McDaniels to check their home video systems after a man in a red reported who reportedly pointed a gun at a group of children standing at a school bus stop.

Around 7:40 a.m. Thursday, a man in a red vehicle pointed a gun outside the vehicle window while passing the bus stop at 123rd and McDaniels. The student ran home and reported what she saw to her mother. She told officers the car was traveling westbound and that she believed the object to be a gun.

Nothing was said to the student or other kids standing at the bus stop. The red vehicle did not stop or slow down as it passed by, according to the student.
