Alsip Police Seek Public's Help In ID'ing Robber, Carjackers
Alsip police issue crimes alerts for a carjacking and armed robbery that occurred Jan. 21 and Jan. 22.

ALSIP, IL -- Alsip police are asking for residents’ help in finding an armed robber and a pair of carjackers in two separate incidents. Residents can message police on the Alsip Police Department Facebook page, or call 708-385-6902, ext. 270 with tips. The crimes occurred on Jan. 21 and Jan. 22.
Carjacking
On Jan. 21, a man used a silver handgun to carjack a 2014 Buick Enclave from two men in the 12500 block of South Kostner Avenue. The suspect is described as a tall, skinny black male, wearing a black ski mask and dark hoodie. A male black accomplice was also seen driving a stolen vehicle.
Armed Robbery
Around 9:10 p.m. Jan. 22, a robber brandishing a black revolver robbed Family Dollar at 12299 S. Pulaski Road, police said. The suspect got away with $375. He is described as a short male white or Hispanic in his late twenties, with a light complexion.
