OAK LAWN, IL—Kickstands will go up Saturday, July 18, for Blake-Lamb Funeral Home’s “Christmas In July Toy Drive” for Toys For Tots, featuring a motorcycle parade. Drop off a new unwrapped toy or book on or before the event and receive a free raffle ticket for a gift basket for a grand prize. All toy donations will go to Chicagoland Toys for Tots.
Riders will start gathering at Chapel Hill Gardens South, 11333 S. Central Ave. Oak Lawn at 9:30 a.m. Kickstands go up at 10:30 a.m. when motorcycles depart through Chapel Hill's north gate and then head east on 111th Street, turning north at Cicero Avenue, arriving around 10:45 a.m. at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd St. (103rd Street and Cicero Avenue).
Drop off a new unwrapped toy or book on or before the event and receive a free raffle ticket for a giant gift basket filled with gift cards and other goodies donated by Oak Lawn businesses.
Mrs. Claus will be dropping by to tell stories, plus ornament making and pictures with Summer Santa and his elves. Nicky V’s is donating free hot dogs, plus there will be frozen sno-cones. In case of rain, the event will be moved inside.
Drop-off locations for toy donations before July 18 will be at:
- Blake Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 S.103rd St. (103rd Street and Cicero Avenue), Oak Lawn
- Chapel Hill Gardens South, 11333 S. Central Ave., Oak Lawn.
