ALSIP, IL—State lawmakers and township representatives will host a job and resource fair Wednesday, Aug. 12. The fair runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Worth Township Center, 11601 S. Pulaski Road.
Job hunters will have the opportunity to meet and network with representatives from diverse industries, including healthcare, construction, IT and retail administration, transportation, warehousing and logistics, and social services and career resources.
The community job and resource fair is being organized by Rep. Rick Ryan (36th District), Rep. Mary Gill (35th District), and 18th District candidate Fran Hurley, along with Worth Township Supervisor Patricia Joan Murphy.
Ryan called the job fair "a vital service" giving attendees, regardless of their background or current circumstances, an "equitable opportunity to connect directly with potential employers."
