Applications Accepted For Alsip Chamber Hometown Heroes Banners
The Alsip Chamber of Commerce is taking orders for the Hometown Heroes Banner program honoring active military and veterans through April 30

ALSIP—Alsip residents can honor the veterans and service members in their lives by ordering a banner to be displayed on village light poles. The Village of Alsip and Alsip Chamber of Commerce are teaming up in the Hometown Heroes program.
Current and former residents of Alsip who have served or are currently serving our country in a branch of the military are eligible for the program. Applications will be accepted through April 30. The banners will be displayed from Memorial Day through Veterans Day.
Hometown Heroes must have served in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard and National Guard. The fee is $100 and includes banner production and placement by the village. If requested on the application, the original banner will be returned to the family after the two-year period. Photos of the individual in uniform are preferred and should be in reasonably good condition.
