Bail Set At $1 Million For Blue Island Man Accused of Robbing 7-Eleven

Police say 19-year-old Blue Island man and accomplice robbed a convenience store in DuPage County, then stomped on clerk's face.

VILLA PARK, IL -- A Blue Island Man is being held on $1 million bail after he and unknown accomplice robbed a convenience store at gunpoint and kicked the store clerk in the face, the DuPage County State’s Attorney said in a news release. Cameron Love, 19, appeared in bond court Friday afternoon, is being held in the DuPage County Jail. Love has been charged with one count of armed robbery with a firearm, a Class X felony, and one misdemeanor count of battery.

According to the charges, Love and an unarmed accomplice entered the 7-Eleven store located on Villa Avenue in Village Park. Once inside the store, Love and his accomplice stole Illinois scratch-off lottery tickets along with $200 cash. Before fleeing, Love ordered the store clerk to lay on the floor, where Love and his accomplice allegedly kicked the clerk’s face.

An investigation by Villa Park police identified Love as a possible suspect. A $1 million arrest warrant was issued for Love on July 24, 2017. He was taken into police custody on Friday. Love’s next court appearance is scheduled for Aug. 21 in front of DuPage County Judge John Kinsella.
