Blue Island Man Targeted By Task Force Charged With Child Porn

Some of the pornographic images depicted children under the age of 13, Cook County Sheriff's Police said.

COOK COUNTY, IL – A 45-year-old Blue Island man was arrested Monday after investigators discovered two hard drives with pornographic images of children, according to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office. Donald Walker appeared Tuesday at the Markham Courthouse before Judge Luciano Panici on two felony counts of possession of child pornography.

Sheriff’s police investigators working with a federal task force discovered an IP address accessing a child pornographic videos and photos on an Internet shared drive. The investigation pinpointed the IP address to a home in Hazel Crest where Walker was living, according to the charges.

The homeowner allowed police to search the house, where investigators reportedly found two hard drives Walker allegedly gave consent to investigators to search the devices. Sheriff’s police said a forensic search of the hard drives revealed pornographic photos and videos of children under the age of 13.

Walker was ordered held without bail. His next court date is Oct. 1 in the Markham Courthouse.
