Temporary Pop-Up DMV To Open At Worth Township Hall As Bridgeview DMV Undergoes Upgrade

The Bridgeview DMV will close temporarily while it is upgraded into a 'one-stop shop,' with a pop-up DMV open Oct. 13 at Worth Twp. Center.

ALSIP, IL—The Illinois Secretary of State driver motor vehicle facility at 7358 W. 87th St., Bridgeview, will close temporarily for renovations and an upgrade into a “one-stop-shop” model Friday, Oct. 9.

Starting Tuesday, Oct. 13, a temporary DMV pop-up will open at Worth Township Hall, 11601 S. Pulaski Road, will provide essential driver and vehicle services to area residents during the renovation.

“The Bridgeview DMV serves thousands of residents, and this renovation will create a more modern and efficient experience for customers and employees,” Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias said in a news release. “By bringing the One-Stop-Shop model to Bridgeview, we’re making it easier for residents to complete the services they need in one place.”

Meanwhile, the Pop-Up DMV at Worth Township Hall will ensure residents can continue accessing essential driver and vehicle services as well as state IDs throughout the renovation.

Services will include driver’s license applications and renewals, title and registration services, REAL ID applications and license plate sticker renewals. The temporary facility will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Appointments are required and can be made online at Illinois SOS DMV appointments. License plate stickers and disability placards are walk-in services and do not require an appointment. Those with prior appointments can come to Worth Township Center on Oct. 13.

A re-opening date for the Bridgeview DMV will be announced later this year.
