Crestwood Juvenile In Custody for Lemont Burglary: COPS

A juvenile from Crestwood is in custody after a burglary and battery in Lemont on Thursday.

CRESTWOOD, IL — A juvenile from Crestwood is in custody Friday after a residential burglary and battery in Lemont. Lemont Police responded to a residential burglary in the 0-100 block of Lahinch in the gated community of Ruffled Feathers at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

Police said detectives were able to identify and take into custody the two male suspects. Both suspects are under the age of 18, so names will not be released. According to police, one suspect was from Chicago, and the other from Crestwood.

Police said the victim reported arriving home to discover two male offenders inside his residence. As the homeowner entered the residence, the offenders attempted to flee the scene. A brief struggle ensued, leaving the homeowner with minor injuries, but police said he refused medical treatment.
