ROBBINS, IL -- A Crestwood father of three is on life support after he was apparently caught in gun crossfire driving through Robbins on his way to a soccer club board meeting, sources told Patch. Cook County Sheriff’s police are investigating the shooting that happened early Wednesday evening. Another driver was also shot and both are believed to be innocent victims who were in the wrong place and the wrong time.

The critically injured man has been identified as 56-year-old Bill Dolehide, a well known coach at the Crestwood Soccer Club. Dolehide has been declared brain-dead and is on life support at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. Dolehide was pronounced brain dead on Thursday. His family, who is at his bedside, has requested that Dolehide’s organs be donated.
