Eisenhower dance team wins national championship

Cardinal Dance Team from Eisenhower High School won first place at the Dance Team Union national
finals at Universal Studios Florida in Orlando on Sunday night.

Coached by Marion Castillo, the Eisenhower dance team completed a season of remarkable achievements by winning first place in the highly competitive Small Varsity Hip Hop Division.

Cardinal Dance Team took second place in IHSA Class AA on January 28, narrowly missing the state title by a fraction of a point (CDT actually scored higher than the team that won the Class AAA championship.)

Earlier this season the team won first place at the Huntley and Eisenhower invitationals, the South Suburban Conference tournament, and IHSA Sectional tournament.
