Kelly Miller Circus Pitches Big Top In Alsip For 4 Performances

ALSIP, IL -- The Alsip Park District will host the Kelly Miller Circus Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 11 and Sept. 12, on the Swap-O-Rama grounds at 4350 W. 129th St, Alsip. Performances for both days start at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Area residents are also invited out on Sept. 11 to watch the big top going up at approximately 9 a.m. on circus day -- free of charge. A circus veteran will be on hand to answer questions about circus life.

The Kelly Miller Circus was founded during the Depression and is making another milestone this year as it celebrates its 80th anniversary. Founded in 1938 by Obert Miller and his sons, this traditional tented circus has seen the passing of the millennium and still offers the same great family entertainment it presented in its humble beginnings.

The all-new 2018 season is exotic animal free (no elephants, camels, zebras, etc.) and features an assortment of circus stars from all over the the world. The show runs 90 minutes. This year’s lineup includes an all-star group of entertainers, including Rolla Bolla, Hula Hoops, Quick Change, Russian Swing and so much more. Featured performers hail from Peru, Mongolia and Romania.

Kelly Miller Circus has logged 10,000 miles in 2018, giving performances in over 150 cities and towns as it winds across North America from April through October. The all-new edition promises a more extravagant exhibition than ever. Circus-goers can purchase tickets in advance and save a few bucks until the day of the circus. Advance tickets are $10 for adults; $7 for children (2-12) and seniors 65+, at the following locations:
