Long-Time Crestwood Police Officer Dies At 85
Visitation and services set for Crestwood Police Lt. Ron Kaczynski March 21 and March 22.

CRESTWOOD, IL -- Long-time Crestwood police officer Lt. Ronald “Ron” Kaczynski passed away March 18. He was 85. Lt. Kaczynski had recently fallen ill and was under medical care when he passed away.
Lt. Kaczynski was born on Sept. 22, 1932. He joined the Crestwood Police Department as a rookie cop in 1969, where he served the last 49 years with the utmost pride and professionalism, said his fellow officers.
He was the beloved husband of Karen (Kansoer) and loving father of Michael (Tina) and Jason (Lisa). Lt. Kaczynski was the cherished grandfather of Jillian, Emily, Ashley, Ryan, and Nathan.

Visitation for Lt. Kaczynski will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, with a 10 a.m. service planned for Thursday, March 22, at Becvar Funeral Home, 5539 W. 127th St., Crestwood, proceeding to Resurrection Cemetery in Justice.
